1970
The number of employees reaches 1200.
The company celebrates the market launches of the VS (Versatile & Secure) locking system and the "turn only and tilt only" one-hand tilt and turn hardware. Also at this time, the special purpose machine division, which had previously only worked to meet in-house requirements, starts to sell feeder systems on the open market.
1971
A new six-floor office building graces the site at Telgte.
1973
Winkhaus ceases bicycle bell production, one of its most traditional areas of activity.
1977
Winkhaus founds its first company in Asia, Europa Asia Security Manufacturing, to manufacture wheel, frame and cable locks.
1978
Winkhaus transfers the Trelock brand to an independent company for two-wheel products, Trelock GmbH based in Nottuln, Germany.
Winkhaus’ Pilot tilt and turn hardware is launched.
