Intelligent gatekeeper Winkhaus ETB-IM

The Winkhaus blueSmart product range has been expanded with an electronic door handle

Winkhaus blueSmart is extremely successful in many European countries. This spurs Winkhaus on to continuously develop the smart system further. The latest innovation is the ETB-IM intelligent door fitting for interior doors.

Elegant look for interior doors

The versatile blueSmart system is the perfect solution for a wide range of tasks and will be expanded with a new intelligent door handle (ETB-IM) in the future. It can be used to complete both new and existing systems. The fitting is suitable for conventional interior doors made from wood, steel or plastic, as well as for different door sash thicknesses.

The designs and materials used fit excellently into the blueSmart product world and are oriented towards the most diverse areas of application in the object concerned.

Flexible combination options

The new electronic door fitting can be combined with mechanical

or electronic locking cylinders, for example for special authorisations or emergency openings. It works on interior doors with standard mortice locks and actuates the door latch there. The door fitting also works reliably with self-locking automatic locks. The electronic control takes place on one side of the door and enables flexible access control with a person-specific single and permanent release function (manual or automatic setting).

Because the electronic fitting is designed to match the door in the factory,

installation on-site is easy and can be carried out in just a few minutes. Thanks to the adjustment sleeves provides, the screw connection takes place twist-free in the existing DIN holes in the door lock – without additional wiring or work on the door sash and usually even without the need for drilling. Even converting the handle directions from DIN left to DIN right or replacing the battery can be carried out in just a few steps and using standard tools.

Different designs

Winkhaus offers the electronic door handle in two designs for standard doors and three designs for emergency doors in accordance with EN 179.

Selected customers have already ordered the innovative product and will be able to use the new solution in their buildings from autumn 2019. The Europe-wide market launch is planned for the first quarter of 2020.
