Now you can use your smart phone to check whether your windows are closed while you’re on the road – thanks to the components compatible with Smart Home technology from Winkhaus. The innovative wireless contacts communicate in EnOcean radio standard and are compatible with other devices. For example, they can also be integrated into alarm systems, louver systems, lighting or heating controls.
The new Winkhaus solution meets the growing demand for intelligent and energy-efficient living in a networked household. It is based on wireless contacts which are attached to window frames and sashes and report whether the window is closed or already open.
The technology is compatible with a variety of electronic devices from various manufacturers. Therefore, it is easy to network Winkhaus wireless contacts on windows with other intelligent systems. This makes it possible, for instance, to set heaters to turn off automatically when the window is opened. It is also possible to activate the alarm and switch on the lights if a window is pried open.
The wireless contacts are available in two versions: a variant that is mounted on the surface of the window frame and a variant that is concealed in the window.
