Safe and flexible: blueSmart in the Haus der Natur
On more than 7,000 m², the Haus der Natur offers exciting access to science and history. Given the high demands placed on the previous mechanical locking system and its limited expandability, a modern solution was required. With over 200 electronic locking cylinders, 300 electronic keys and a combination of online and offline readers, blueSmart offers a robust, adaptable and scalable solution that also meets the requirements of the Haus der Natur in the long term.
A major advantage of blueSmart is its seamless integration into all museum buildings. In addition to the main building, the VEGA observatory, an important part of the Haus der Natur, was also included into the range of the locking system. The observatory is used by scientists and visitors alike and, like the museum, benefits from flexible management and secure access control.
A further expansion of the system is already planned: the reptile house, another area of the museum, will soon be seamlessly integrated into the blueSmart solution.
