24.06.2020 - Component sample case for retrofitting and repairing external doors

Many component experts and security professionals are already familiar with the concept from the window sector: burglary-resistant components from Winkhaus for retrofitting. Winkhaus now offers a similar solution for external doors too. A sample case helps to determine the component and, if necessary, also has the right parts ready. The technical security measure is eligible for KfW funding. The component sample case can be used as a “mobile workshop“. It is well equipped and suitable for retrofitting security systems as well as repairing house doors made of wood and PVC-U. The samples can be used to determine the matching keep modules and the croppable three-part tie bolts. If required, the parts can also be installed directly on site. For example, the case contains the components for at least one set of fittings as well as necessary rivets, screws and other small parts.

Takes dimension tolerances

In this concept, locking with the sturdy double bolt (D2) takes over the most important task – it locks the door solidly. At the same time, it is not sensitive to dimension tolerances, which makes installation easier. It fits into all standard keeps, can be used for groove positions 9 or 13 mm (or larger) and can also be adapted to different sash cuts.

Optimum burglary protection offers an opportunity for KfW funding

Retrofitting with Winkhaus components offers a major security boost. This helps achieve a high level of resistance comparable to safety class RC2 and class 3 in accordance with DIN18251-3. This is why refitting with Winkhaus components is also eligible for KfW funding. The elements are also certified as retrofit products in accordance with DIN 18104 Part 2.
