New door handle fittings with a long backplate expand the blueEvo system platform

Winkhaus offers flexible solutions for indoor and outdoor use

Winkhaus’ blueEvo system platform continues to grow: The company is expanding its solutions for electronic access control with two products: the new ETB-IR and ETB-S electronic door handle fittings. This means that the product range, which was previously limited to keys as identification medium, is now also suitable for ID card-based projects.

Der elektronische Türbeschlag ETB-IR ist speziell für den Einsatz auf der Gebäudeseite konzipiert worden.

The new ETB-IR handle has been specially developed for use in interior tubular frame doors. It combines robust mechanics with intelligent electronics. The ETB-IR also boasts impressively intuitive operation. As an additional option, the handle can be converted from DIN left-hand to right-hand and the tried-and-tested actuators of the ETB-IM short fitting can be used to facilitate installation and ensure high reliability. Thanks to a variety of handle shapes and distances, the electronic door handle fitting is suitable for various door situations – even with narrow backsets. This is also a big help when modernising existing buildings. The encrypted motor control, tried-and-tested components and attack resistance class 2 in accordance with DIN EN 16867 also ensure high safety and quality standards.

The company developed the ETB-S door handle fitting with a long backplate for outdoor use. The technology for this is based on the ETB-IR solution, but also meets heightened requirements for weather resistance and security. This is achieved through reliable protection against moisture (IP54, optional IP55), high corrosion resistance and an operating temperature range of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius. Thanks to its reinforced design, the ETB-S achieves attack resistance class 3 in accordance with DIN EN 16867 and is especially well suited to security-critical applications in outdoor areas.

Die neuen elektronischen Türbeschläge können auch bei Modernisierungen oder beim Nachrüsten im Bestand verwendet werden.

Thanks to integration into the blueEvo system, both variants can be managed centrally via the BE blueControl user software developed for the system platform. This opens up new applications in structures such as hospitals, office buildings, care facilities, escape routes or critical infrastructure. At the same time, the fittings are suitable for both tubular frame and solid leaf doors.

“These two fitting variants open up new levels of freedom for architects, specialist planners and installers,” says Dr Volker Brink, Director of Product Management Access Control at Winkhaus. “This means that our blueEvo platform not only grows in terms of technology, but also adapts to customers’ needs in real life.”
