Winkhaus takes an important step into the future with its name change

The company is now operating under the name Aug. Winkhaus SE

Telgte - Winkhaus has entered the next phase of its long-term strategy on 1 August 2025: Aug. Winkhaus SE & Co. KG is now trading as Aug. Winkhaus SE (Societas Europaea). With this step, Winkhaus takes into account the developments of recent years and positions itself even more clearly as a European-oriented company.

The first steps towards the comprehensive further development of the owner-managed company were already taken in 2024. The changes in the legal form of the company that have now been completed mark a successful end to this transformation.

The renaming into a European public limited company underlines the growing importance of the European markets for Winkhaus. At the same time, the process ensures uniform, future-proof structures for the international orientation of the company. In addition to the four locations in Germany, Aug. Winkhaus SE is present throughout Europe with nine subsidiaries and thus offers tailor-made and country-specific solutions for its customers.

“With the renaming that has now taken place, we were able to successfully complete a multi-stage process,” says Tilmann Winkhaus, Managing Partner of Winkhaus. “Our values as a family business remain unchanged - Winkhaus remains 100% owned by the family.”
