Volker Brink served as Head of Product Management for access control at Winkhaus for more than ten years. In this capacity, he played a key role in the development of the blueEvo system platform. blueEvo is Winkhaus’ new electronic locking system. Over the past few months, he has worked intensively to prepare for his new role. This preparation ensures a smooth transition. With his experience in strategic product and technology planning, Brink will now be responsible for the Winkhaus Group’s product management. The focus remains on consistently aligning the product and service portfolio with needs of tomorrow’s market.

At Winkhaus, product management comprises the core fields of window hardware, security door locking systems, and access control. Key elements include application engineering, technical writing, the customer centre, software and product data, and the development and support of AV WIN window design software.
“I'm excited about this new role and about working with my colleagues to plan our next steps,” says Brink. “We have strong products and have a very clear understanding of the market’s requirements. That’s what we can build on. For me, it is important to continue along the path we have taken whilst, at the same time, providing fresh impetus so that we can continue to offer our customers the right product and service solutions in the future.”

For many years, Alfred Dinkelborg has played a decisive role in shaping Winkhaus’ product management. During his more than 25 years with the company, he was involved in numerous product developments and played a key role in the innovative expansion of the product portfolio. Examples include the establishment and development of the security door locking systems, the launch of the activPilot window fitting system, the development of the new primePort sliding fitting range and the ‘aluPilot’ aluminium fitting system for eurogrooves. With his expertise and experience, he has had a profound impact on the company’s operations.

“The past few years have been very exciting and eventful. The memory of the many dedicated colleagues and interesting clients will particularly remain dear to me,” emphasises Alfred Dinkelborg. “With Volker Brink, I know that product management is in very good hands. Although I will continue to be involved with Winkhaus in a different capacity in the future, I am retiring with a great sense of satisfaction.”

With this change in management, Winkhaus is focusing on continuity and a succession plan that has been prepared well in advance. Through close collaboration, the reliable continuation of strategic product development is ensured. “We would like to thank Alfred Dinkelborg for his special commitment during his more than 25 years at the company. We are delighted that he will continue to provide Winkhaus with consulting support in the future," emphasises Stefan Wemhoff, Member of the Management Board. “At the same time, Volker Brink, an experienced colleague, will become the new head of our product management. He has a thorough understanding of our products and markets. His contributions will give the company important impetus.”
