Following his active career, the now 68-year-old was active in the sporting management of the DFB elite referees until 2024. Meanwhile, the graduate communications economist shares his many years of experience in dealing with pressure situations and decision-making processes in lectures – including during his visit to Telgte.
Examples from professional soccer
Using impressive examples, Fröhlich explained what it is like to make decisions under time pressure and also defend them against resistance – whether to the players on the lawn or thousands of spectators in the stadium. What is important are qualities that are also valuable in everyday work: Stay focused even when things get hectic. Stay calm in stressful moments. Communicate clearly and openly in the team. And above all: consistently implement decisions made. All of these skills are crucial both on the pitch and in the economy.
