TT 35 Touch Terminal combines flexibility and security
At the same time, the access control system for end users is also being further developed. The new TT35 Touch Terminal makes access control even clearer and more convenient. The terminal complements the Virtual Network Hubs (readers with access and check-in functions in the virtual network) and is available in designs by Siedle and Elcom. The terminal immediately indicates whether access has been granted or denied by means of a coloured signal. The control panel enables users to carry out important functions directly on site – for example, manually activating a permanent release or activating and deactivating the intrusion detection system.
For particularly security-relevant areas, the touch terminal has two-factor authentication. In addition to the identification medium, a personal PIN code is required for access. The PIN is set by the user and cannot be viewed by the system administrator. A silent alarm can also be set up for use in threatening situations. The PIN function can be configured in BE blueControl:
- Customizable PIN code length between four and eight characters
- Numeric and alphanumeric input
- Use of the PIN code for two-factor authentication, permanent authorization, and the burglar alarm system
- Fixed or random key layout
- Definition of the maximum number of failed attempts
- Definition of a number for the silent alarm
If the PIN code is entered incorrectly too often, the user is automatically blocked and can only be reactivated by the system administrator. The TT35 Touch Terminal combines intuitive operation, clear status displays and flexible safety functions in a single terminal. In addition, blueEvo can be configured so that only users whose ID cards have been activated with access permissions for security-critical areas are required to enter the PIN code.
