Fast and reliable

The security of a door lock depends on the material that is used. We at Winkhaus use high-quality steel for our hooks. They feature an additional 25 mm unbolting width so that they can extend far into the keep rail and engage with the keep. The bolts are also bevelled on both sides so that they can be used for left and right hand operation. Thanks to the bevel, they pull the door to the frame tightly when closing. Draughts and moisture are kept out. This means that you can even retrofit a Winkhaus standard locking system. It is not even necessary to fit new keeps for this purpose. The same goes for patio doors equipped with the Winkhaus activPilot fitting system.

Exceptionally durable and tight

Quality is always in focus at Winkhaus. This ranges from the materials that are used to the precise workmanship and from overall package down to the smallest detail. For example, the trigger of the autoLock AVP is designed and tested for 100,000 cycles. This corresponds to around 10 operations per day over a period of 27 years with a sash weight of 100 kg. autoLock AVP also locks your door extremely tightly. Draughts and moisture are kept out.

Intelligent operation

autoLock AVP also offers impressively simple handling combined with secure opening and closing of the door. The innovative fail-safe lock prevents the hooks from being unbolted unintentionally. This especially user-friendly technology is unique in the market and solves a widespread problem: Even if the lock is only partially unlocked when the door is opened, the autoLock AVP deadbolts remain in the retracted position instead of extending. Therefore, there are no protruding parts that could damage the door or other parts if the door slams shut.
