Stader Glas hosted the customer event and presented a wide range of
components featuring Winkhaus technology.

Window manufacturer Stader Glas and fittings manufacturer Winkhaus
have been working as partners since 2022. Both share a love of the
product, innovative spirit and reliability. The diverse window and door
solutions with fittings from Winkhaus were at the heart of the customer
event at the Stader Glas window plant in Buxtehude. More than 150
construction professionals and tradespeople from the region accepted
the invitation to the production site of the company from north Germany.
In perfect weather conditions, the Stader Glas team was delighted to present
customers with a wide range of windows and doors for a wide variety of
applications. Guests were also given an insight into the modern, highly
automated production.
“There is a trend towards higher-quality, large-format window elements with
sun protection glass or shade, high burglary protection and smart home
functions,” notes Hans-Herman Lemke, Managing Director of Stader Glas
GmbH & Co KG. With Winkhaus, his company is ideally equipped for the most
diverse market requirements. “Anyone can do normal” he says and presents
the Stader Glas solutions to visitors on numerous exhibits.

Technology for modern windows with many functions
The window professionals invited to the event showed great interest in the
strong hinge side of the Winkhaus activPilot fitting system. This makes it
possible to manufacture heavy elements – such as energy-efficient windows
with triple glazing – with up to 150 kg sash weight without the need for
additional components. So excitement was high at the Winkhaus stand during
the shear pull-out tests, the so-called TBDK test, in which the activPilot hinge
side proved its resilience.
The windows with Winkhaus technology without visible fitting parts also
scored points among visitors. The fully-concealed activPilot Topstar fitting
system combines attractive aesthetics with high load-bearing capacity – the
fitting can carry up to 130 kg sash weight without additional components.
Parallel action for efficient room ventilation
Stader Glas offers its customers a valuable unique selling point in the region:
Thanks to the unique parallel action, windows with the innovative activPilot
Comfort fitting system from Winkhaus enable efficient, natural and at the same
time secure ventilation of interior spaces. The wide range of products offers a
suitable solution for every application – from basement windows (e.g. with
activPilot Comfort PAD) to motorised windows for user-independent room
ventilation (activPilot Comfort PADM).
Special solutions for entrance doors
The presentation was rounded off with doors with Winkhaus security door
locking systems. The anti-panic locking system for external entrance doors in
kindergartens attracted particular attention: panicLock AP179 AV4D OR
prevents access from the outside during the night thanks to solid security
bolts. The door handle for adults on the outside is mounted at a height of
approx. 1,500 mm and can be activated or deactivated by turning the key. In
addition to a door handle for adults, there is also a handle on the inside that
can be reached easily by children in an emergency. It is supplemented by a
one-handed door guard to prevent children from walking onto the street
unsupervised, for example.
With autoLock AV4OR, another variation was presented that is particularly
suitable for entrance doors to apartment buildings. In dangerous situations, it
ensures that the locked door can be opened from the inside at any time
without a key.
