Winkhaus is one of the “Major German Brands”

Winkhaus has been included in the prestigious publication series “The Major German Brands” by the German Design Council. The annual publication honours German companies that set new standards through their innovative strength, design awareness and clear focus on the future.

Under the title “Transformative Power of Design”, the 13. edition of the publication series focuses on the role of design as a driving force behind corporate transformation. Winkhaus illustrates this with the campaign for the new blueEvo electronic locking system, which combines technical precision, user-friendliness and a brand-consistent design.

“For us, design is far more than just an aesthetic element,” explains Marc Götte, Marketing Manager of the Winkhaus Group and member of the Management Board. “For blueEvo, we have approached product development and brand identity together from the earliest stages. Our goal was to embed security, flexibility and convenience in both the product and the branding.”

The result is a robust and durable locking system made from high-quality materials with an intuitive operating software. The associated brand design emphasises the characteristics of the product and is closely linked to the corporate identity of Winkhaus, creating a consistent design and brand image.

The publication was presented on 6 November at a design gala at Soho House Berlin in front of more than 100 guests from politics, industry and society. The German Design Council's book series “The Major German Brands” has been showcasing
special German brands and their success stories since 2013. Companies are showcased annually.
